She's baaaa-aaack.

With a heavy heart and a serious case of jet-lag.

Had one of, if not the best vacation of my life.

And I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Pictures and stories to come!

Mere hours.

So in 48 hours I will be in a plane, about to take off to London.

This trip is the culmination of MONTHS of waiting. And now that it's almost here...is too much to handle.

Good things come to those who wait...so let's BRING IT!

10 Years...and 4 months.

Back in May I attended my 10-Year High School reunion. I blogged about it a few days before, spilling my anxieties about going.
Once it was all over, I realized that I had - of course - blown it all out of proportion. Everyone who attends these reuions have their own insecurities and fears about who they are now, and about what they have and haven't done with their lives over the last decade.
Heather can attest to who I was in my last year of high school, and that I definitely was NOT one of the "cool" or "popular" kids. The "cool" kids were just way too "cool" and "popular" to interact with me and my friends, two of whom were Vanessa Fong and Kendra Black, both who came attended the reunion with me. Being "cool" or "popular" never really mattered to me, and for the most part I found that crowd to be pretty ridiculous. How anyone at that age can take themselves so seriously is beyond me.
Once we arrived for the weekend, we quickly realized that it was mostly people from the "cool", "popular" crowd that turned up, which was a bit worying at first. But much to our surprise, they no longer had the haughty, snobbish air they held back in school. Dont' get me wrong, they were still abrasive, loud and ridiculous ("DUDE! That's so GAY, guy!!"), but gone were the egos they all held so high back in the day.
We all had a brilliant time, catching up and being a bit silly while reminiscing and drinking at our old haunts. Reunion weekend wasn't as awful as I thought it could be, in fact was quite pleasant...
...and the fact that some of "them" were fat doesn't hurt, right?
Fong in our wicked...ly tacky hotel room.

Attempt at catching her Starfishin'.

YES! 10-YEAR REUNION EXCITEMENT!!

Mischievious Fong, preparing our demise.

Notice the powdered creamer. Class.

Ah, the Port Hope Comfort Inn.

Photographic evidence that I was not "cool".

Kendra and Fong, reunited and it feels so good!

Osler Hall Lunch!

Soting at the back of the hall, previously reserved for the cool crowd only.

Overwhelmed by the beautiful campus.

Kendra kicking ass at Old Girl's Baseball.

Heather's former residence: Bolden House!

Heather, I couldn't remember if your room was #1...

...or #3!
I tried in vain to break in, but both were locked.
There's no trust anymore.

Memories of the Art Room.

Truly is a beautiful place.

Ready for the night's festivities.

Jamie Cunningham and Mr. Godfrey.
Not sure who let Jamie in, he didn't graduate in our year.

...and what exactly is with the ascot?
Not like we're a very sophisticated crowd, eh Fong?

YAY, OPEN BAR!!!

On the bus, heading DOWNTOWN!!

Yep.

Fraser hadn't RSVP'd, so was very happy when Brent didn't show up.

Navigating our way through downtown Port Hope.

ROCKING OUT to a typical Ganny band!

Birchall singing along.
(right about the time he grabbed my ass
and slurred that I was WAY hotter now than when I was in high school! HA!)

YES!!!

Beautiful day for a hangover.

Osler Brunch.
Best Hangover Cure Ever.

Trio of Pork: Ham, bacon, sausage.
